Privacy Policy

How and for what purpose we collect and use your personal data – and what rights you have under the GDPR.

Liability and Copyright

Limitation of liability for own content

All content on our website has been created with care and to the best of our knowledge. However, we cannot guarantee that all pages are up-to-date, complete, or accurate. Pursuant to Section 7 (1) TMG, we as a service provider are responsible for our own content on these pages in accordance with general laws, but are not obliged under Sections 8 to 10 TMG to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information. Such content will be removed immediately from the time we become aware of a specific legal violation; liability is only possible from the time of such knowledge.

Limitation of liability for external links

Our website contains so-called "external links" (links to third-party websites), over whose content we have no influence and for which we therefore assume no liability. The respective provider of the linked website is responsible for the content and accuracy of the information. At the time the links were created, no legal violations were identifiable. As soon as we become aware of a legal violation, we will remove the respective link immediately.

Copyright

The content and works published on this website are subject to German copyright law. Any reproduction, processing, distribution, or exploitation outside the limits of copyright law requires the prior written consent of the respective author or creator. Designated word marks or logos belong to their respective owners.

Data protection at a glance

The following privacy policy applies to the use of our online services at www.doelco.de (hereinafter "website"). We attach great importance to data protection. The collection and processing of your personal data takes place in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This statement describes how and for what purpose your data is collected and used and what choices you have in this regard.

1

Controller

The controller responsible for the collection, processing, and use of your personal data within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR is DÖLCO GmbH, Gewerbestraße 19, 79112 Freiburg-Opfingen, E-Mail: info@doelco.de. If you wish to object to the collection, processing, or use of your data, you can address your objection to the controller. You can save and print this privacy policy at any time.

2

Server log files (access data)

Every time you access our website, we automatically collect, store, and use data in so-called server log files. This access data includes:

  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Date and time of retrieval
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Notification of successful retrieval (HTTP status code)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • IP address and requesting internet provider

We use this log data without assigning it to your person for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security, and optimization of our online services. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functional website pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR. We only store IP addresses for a limited period of time if this is necessary for security purposes; thereafter, they are deleted or truncated.

3

Hosting

We use hosting services (infrastructure, computing capacity, storage space, as well as security and maintenance services) to operate this website. In doing so, our hosting provider processes the aforementioned access data on our behalf. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 28 GDPR (data processing agreement).

4

Cookies and consent

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. We use technically necessary cookies to provide basic website functions and to save your cookie selection (cookie "cookie_consent"). These are required for the operation of the website; the legal basis is Section 25 (2) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR.

We only use non-essential cookies – in particular for reach measurement with Google Analytics – if you have expressly consented via our cookie banner (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR, Section 25 (1) TDDDG). You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting the cookies in your browser or making your selection again. You can also set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow them in individual cases or exclude them generally.

5

Reach measurement with Google Analytics 4

If you have consented, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. We have activated IP anonymization (anonymize_ip); your IP address is therefore only processed by Google in truncated form.

Processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR. We use Google Consent Mode: No analysis cookies are set and no personal analysis data is transmitted before you have given your consent.

Data transmission to the USA cannot be excluded. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission serve as an appropriate guarantee according to Art. 46 GDPR. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie banner or by deleting the cookies with effect for the future.

6

Embedded forms (Zoho)

On individual pages (e.g., contact, newsletter registration, seminar registration, information material), we embed forms from the provider Zoho (Zoho Corporation). These forms are only loaded after you have expressly consented to their integration. When loading, cookies from Zoho may be set and the data you enter may be transmitted to Zoho in order to process your request.

The legal basis for loading the forms is your consent (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR), and for the subsequent processing of your request, the initiation of a contract or our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b) and f) GDPR).

7

Contacting us via email or form

When you contact us (e.g., via contact form or email), we store your details for the purpose of processing the request and in case follow-up questions arise. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or contract) or lit. f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your request). We delete this data as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

8

Newsletter

We use the double opt-in procedure for sending our newsletter: After your registration, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription by clicking a link. Only then will we send the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter email or by notifying info@doelco.de. Your consent expires upon unsubscription.

9

Your rights as a data subject

Under applicable laws, you have various rights regarding your personal data. If you wish to exercise these, please direct your request to the contact details mentioned in point 1, providing clear identification of your person.

Right of access

You have the right to request confirmation as to whether we are processing personal data concerning you, as well as information about this data and a copy thereof (Art. 15 GDPR).

Right to rectification

You have the right to demand the correction of incorrect data and the completion of incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR).

Right to erasure

You have the right to demand the deletion of your data if the legal requirements are met (Art. 17 GDPR, "right to be forgotten").

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your data (Art. 18 GDPR).

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive the data you have provided in a structured, common, and machine-readable format and to have it transmitted to another controller (Art. 20 GDPR).

Right to object

You have the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to the processing based on Art. 6 (1) lit. e) or f) GDPR. You can object to processing for the purpose of direct marketing at any time without giving reasons (Art. 21 GDPR).

Right to withdraw consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR). The legality of the processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.

No automated decision-making

Solely automated decision-making including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR) does not take place.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR). The responsible authority for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.

10

Data security

We strive to ensure the security of your data within the framework of applicable laws and technical possibilities. Data transmission is encrypted via SSL/TLS. We implement technical and organizational security measures in accordance with Art. 32 GDPR and continuously adapt them to the state of the art. However, complete protection of data against access by third parties during internet transmission (e.g., via email) is not possible.

11

Data transfer and storage duration

In principle, we only use your personal data within our company. If we use service providers (e.g., hosting or logistics), they only receive data to the extent necessary and are contractually obliged to comply with data protection laws (data processing agreement). A transfer to third countries only takes place in the cases mentioned in this statement and only on the basis of appropriate guarantees.

Unless specifically stated, we store personal data only as long as it is necessary to fulfill the pursued purposes or as required by law.
