Acoustic leak detection
Acoustic cameras –
Locate leaks acoustically
Acoustic cameras visualize the ultrasound generated by a leak as an image overlaid on the camera view. We use them for leak detection in water pipes, as well as for compressed air, gas, and vacuum systems – non-contact and from a distance.

Fields of application
Fields of application of the acoustic camera
An acoustic camera overlays the camera image with a sound map. The sound source appears as a colored marker in the image.
💧
Leaks in water pipes
Escaping water or test compressed air in the pipe generates ultrasound. The acoustic camera shows where this sound originates, supporting the localization of the leak.
💨
Compressed air leaks
Leaky couplings, hoses, and valves in compressed air systems generate ultrasound that the camera can detect during operation.
🔥
Gas leaks
Escaping gas from pipes, fittings, and systems generates ultrasound that the camera can detect from a distance.
🌀
Vacuum leaks
Leaks in vacuum systems can also be detected acoustically.

Documentation
Acoustic video recordings and photos capture the findings.

Features
Acoustic cameras – what sets them apart
From a distance
Detection range up to 100 m (H4mini) or 60 m (TD2e Kit).
During operation
The measurement is performed contact-free, without interfering with the system.
Leak assessment
The H4mini estimates the loss per leak in l/min, helping to prioritize repairs.
Documentation
Images and acoustic videos document the findings.
